Unable to write symbols "{" and "["

Hello everyone,
 I'm actually unable to write "{" and "[" symbols when using the CodeBlocks editor (it's of course not a keyboard problem, since I'm using the same computer right now). Does anybody have any idea? It's a Mac, never had the same problem with my old Windows-powered Hp.
 Thank you so much.

Search in the wiki in faq section. i know that there is the solution of the problem but i can't  c&p it because i'm on my (not smart) phone
