Cannot restore settings

Hi,

I'm upgraded my Code::Blocks to the latest 13.12 on Windows 7 x64 and before that I saved the default.config file.

It was in C:\codeblocks folder. I had nothing in the appdata\codeblocks folder.  I dont know if it's normal or not?

Anyway after installing the new Code::blocks I recopied the default.conf file but when I open up Code::blocks I have none of my settings, libs, search paths there.

What have I done wrong?

OK, I found the problem.

My settings are in the 2005/2008 compiler.

If I select the 2010 compiler in  Global Compiler Settings I lose all the settings.

1. Does it matter if I use the 2005/2008 or 2010 compiler in the drop down box?

2. And how to keep the the other settings like font size, plugins, I lost it all.
