Hello Developers.
As we know some basic third party components have been released with a new version:

Do you have some milestones in your head when Code::Blocks will officially start to use them for the nightly builds. Even if you answer that you don't plan to change before what ever (date, sub release number, ...) This is helpful for those who develop own plug-ins or use the C::B development tools for their own projects to minimize the number of compilers on their computer.
Even I know, that I can start to use this newer versions by my own just now, once I want to provide some of my results for Code::Blocks I have to ensure compatibility:
- In the next weeks (month, years,???) I should ignore this new parts and concentrate on my development,
since the using of newer libraries may result in incompatibility.
- Some when in the future I have to start testing if my solution works with the new tools and components also.
- Finally some when I have to ensure that parts which use deprecated coding are changed.
I agree that you are not able to give us fixed days and changes in your plans are always possible . But a rough estimation would help me to define my own priorities.
Best regards,
Eckard.
