SVN 1642 - Linux (problem and review on wxAUI)

I have just tested SVN-HEAD on Linux. After compiling and installing, I start up codeblocks, there is an error sounds "unable to load main_toolbar ..." (refer attachment)

The main toolbar is then not shown, (refer attached screenshot)

I tried to list the resources.zip , but main_toolbar_16x16.xrc is clearly in the resources.zip  :?

Anyway , apart from this problem , it seems like run fine.

The wxAUI seems look and work better in Linux than in Windows
 1. Better look for toolbar (in MS windows the toolbar at the left side)
  2. Better handling of windows positioning  (in MS windows , I can't move the message back to the exact original position after moving out)
  3. The mouse does not turns to error for resizing (in Ms Windows , it does) <- this should be wxAUI problem.


wxSmith seems not added in the building script...

Run make clean-zipfiles && make && sudo make install to update all the resources.

I had the same problem, but I did before make a make clean --> apparently this does not clean everything ??

make clean cleans up everything. When you need to update just the resources make clean-zipfiles cleans only them, essentially not forcing you to rebuild everything.

Does 'make clean' really imply 'make clean-zipfiles'? Because for compiling revision 1642 I first did a 'make clean', then 'make' and 'make install'. After launching Code::Blocks I got an error about some resources or so (not sure if it was the same problem as the on mentioned by cyberkoa) but it disappeared after running 'make clean-zipfiles && make && make install'. As killerbot said, 'make clean' seems to leave the zip-files with the resources untouched.

Hmm, I will have to check. It should though. If it doesn't, it's a bug in the build system...
