Windows GUI Frame Project - UpdateWindow

Long time since I've programmed Win32.
 
Created a new Frame based Windows GUI app. Code Blocks created
a nice windows standard framework. (Thanks)

Question.
After the main CreateWindow, I see a ShowWindow call,
but no UpdateWindow call.
What's the thinking here?
