Shortcuts and shortcomings

(1/2) > >>

smallB:
Guys, I think that it is great to be able to assign keyboard shortcut to a particular window etc. but as things are for the moment there is small 'obstacle' to use it even more efficiently.
The problem is that it doesn't handle 'multiple' combinations, i.e.:
1.Ctrl-N,Ctrl-F - for a new file
2.Ctrl-N,Ctrl-C - for a new class

I know that I can make other 'single' combinations like Ctrl-N or Ctrl-C but this approach is limited and not as natural in use as the 'multiple' one:
Ctrl-N - because I wan't something new, and:
Ctrl-F - because I wan't this new thing to be a file, which gives me:Ctrl-N,Ctrl-F
Thanks.

As has been pointed out to you - anyone can have "ideas". The trick is implementing them. I think you ought to set a limit on your "ideas" posts to one a day, or ideally less.

smallB:
@Neil why? Is there any harm/annoyance in me posting suggestions which could make cb even better IDE? There are just ideas, related to cb, so what's your problem? I don't ask neither you nor anyone else to implement them. I'm just posting them as ideas which someone may like or not.
And Neil, sarcasm is not the way to be.
Anyway it says "Regular users should use the other forums for support/help/suggestions." So unless I'm told by someone who actually manages this forum to stop posting my suggestions, I'm going to post them. Deal with it.

@Morten thanks, will do. I'll open this thread now and you can move my other threads inside this one if you wish.
