is there a specific reason for this, or is it just a bug.

Was it working before r7531? In fact I never tried, as I usually navigate in the project using cursor keys.

I also never use that. But now having a project where virtual folders are in place.
And tried it on an older debugger branch, and an older trunk branch, so it is for sure definitely not working before the revision you mention.
