Tool chain not setup correctly

I am a beginner and when I try to compile a program the message I get is that the debugger is not set. I've tried to follow the directions, but with no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, there are literally hundreds of versions of C::B for different platforms with different compiler / debugger version.

Shall we pick one you are using, or will you tell some more details?
