Painful flashing everytime a curly brace is highlighted
« on: June 10, 2011, 12:30:32 am »
Hello everybody,

Not having been able to find the topic where I was supposed - as a new user - to announce myself as a human being, I'll do it here: I'm not a bot.

Although I use several IDEs, Code::Blocks was the first one that really facilitated my getting into programming, and I've held it dear every since (cheers to the developers).

There is one problem though: everytime I highlight a curly brace, the whole line containing the brace flashes for a brief moment - along with the neighbouring line (if I move via cursors), or along with the whole block if I click the line with the curly brace "from afar".

It's awfully harsh on the eyes; clicking / highlighting liens with other types of brackets doesn't cause such an effect.
I'm on Ubuntu 10.04, my video card is Nvidia's GeForce GTS 250, my C::B version is 8.02.

Has anybody else experienced that flash, or has perhaps found a solution?

Thank you and have a nice... well, night, at least around here at the moment (Poland).
