problem installing codeblocks on Ubuntu11.04

(1/1)

kalwalt:
Hi to all, I would like to develop OF application on linux and for this I have intalled Ubuntu 11.04 on an extern usb pen.I am new to ubuntu and linux. I have tried to install code block from Ubuntu Software center. The installation process works fine but when I shut down my pc and launch  again ubuntu I can-t found the codeblock application nor in the Startup menu nor in any folder.  Is this normal ? what I have missed ? Also I have seen that is needed to install some dependencies to build the examples.I have tried to run the       commands form terminal ( install dependencies.sh) I mean this : cd your_oF_directory/scripts/ubuntu

        sudo ./install_codeblocks.sh

        sudo ./install_dependencies.sh

but seems that not works on Ubuntu 11.04. i receive this message: ./install_dependencies.sh: command not found

Thanks for any help in advance :)

These scripts are not included in C::B.
We can not support proprietary ubuntu-scripts, so you have to ask in their forum, if you really need them.

Are you sure C::B is installed in a persistant folder ?
It might also be a live-system on your stick, that installs software in a virtual (or temporary) folder.

I don't know which examples to install, so I guess they are also ubuntu (or whatever) examples.
If you need support for them, you have to ask in a forum or on a mailin g list, that supports this software/examples/tutorial or whatever it is.

thanke you for the reply . I have to check if code blocks is installed in a persistent or temporary folder. But now i ave not my pc with me..Maybe it's better if i ask support in an ubuntu forum for more specific question about ubuntu software or scripts. Thanke you for your help!   :)
