mingw32-gcc is not recognized

I apologize if this is a stupid question. I am trying to set up wxWidgets, following the tutorials on the wiki, but I am having trouble. When I enter 'mingw32-gcc' to the command prompt, it tells me that it is not recognized. I added 'mingw32-gcc' to the windows PATH environment variable to link to the bin folder, and I cannot figure out what I can do. What am I doing wrong, or what am I missing?

U must add ur mingw/bin folder to the PATH if u haven't done so.
