Welcome Newcomers - PLEASE READ!!!

Hello All.
I am here and I am NEW as in ... member and ... cpp programmer. You don't really want to know how "young" I am :-) but I've always wanted to learn to program in cpp but have never gotten to do it. I've seen programming languages come and go but cpp has always been here to stay. It has kept up with the "times". Unfortunately I haven't. So can someone be kind enough to point a beginner like me to the right direction. I am more inclined to learn well with a learn-by-example type of instruction.

I am CPP beginer too, has anyone ide how to hide menu created via window class (wcex.lpszMenuName = MAKEINTRESOURCE(IDR_MYMENU);) and then create it again?
