Hello,

a played around with the astyle plugin and found out that the most important option, from my personal point of view, wasn't available. It is the '--add-brackets / -j' option, see http://astyle.sourceforge.net/astyle.html#_add-brackets. I'm not sure what the right procedure is, but I made a patch against trunk(rev. 6454). Hope that's OK this way.

sounds good. If there are no objections I will apply it this evening.

I got a pending patch for astyle, too. Hopefully it'll not conflict. However, it seems that this is rather small - so go ahead, but keep it in mind in case I need help later... :-)
