C++ beginner, Build>Run not working?
« on: June 15, 2010, 03:45:34 am »
Yeah, I'm a newbie when it comes to C++, I have literally just started teaching myself.
When I do Build>Run, no console comes up with what I had wrote in.
It was exactly out of the book, no mistakes, I can say that much.
What is going on? Am I doing something wrong?
Try not to use too technical terms, please.

If it helps, I'm using the book "C++ For Dummies, 7 books in 1, 2nd edition."
Is it outdated, or something? Is that causing part of the problem? Is this too advanced to start with?

You haven't mentioned the OS and which version of C::B you use.

Look at the build logs, placed at the bottom of the screen by default. Does it say about any warnings or errors?
