Why does the command box show up when it is being release?

when i set my project to the release setting, there is still the command prompt thing behind it. How do I get rid of it?

try this switch -mwindows or -Wl,--subsystem-windows

Did you look into the projects properties ?
Is the type for the release-target set to "GUI aplication" ?
