how to install the c::b in linux mint 8?

I download the codeblocks_8.02-0ubuntu1.deb.tar.gz and I install in my linux mint  8,but when I start the IDE,there are no Debugger and Compilerin Settings,and can't creat a Project,Can anyone please tell me how to install the c::b in linux mint 8 successfully?
