Did you try help -> About? To find the version number and date build info.
Did you install the binary package?
Or did you compile Code::Blocks (manually) yourself?

and even it is not well maintained because the problem that "build option" can't be resized is not resolved so far over at least 3 years.
very disappointed.

Our time machine is broken and we can not go back in time to change the 8.02 release.
I suggest trying an nightly build or waiting till the next release.

Edit: Ubuntu 10.4 is new enough that you may need to compile from source code.

FYI: Your OS is Ubuntu with the version of 10.4 to use in future questions. I am a windows user so the links above should be read to confirm they are the right directions.
Edit: The use of the word "it" can be very misleading. I thought you needed the version of Code::Blocks; but the other user asked you the OS name and version.

Not necessary. Jen's (kindly provided) packages work perfectly. You do have to get the latest wxWidgets packages, though - use the official apt repository (apt.wxwidgets.org), and the "jaunty-wx" distribution (it hasn't been updated for the last two Ubuntu versions, but the 9.4 packages work with 10.4).
