How to preserve split view?

I'm using wide screen monitor and always work in split view, but after closing CB and reopening project view is reset to one column. Is there any way to keep it my way?

not for split view, but if you are using a recent nightly version (you didn't tell anything about your platform, version etc...) are you aware that you can place 1..n editors next to each other?
