Now try to search for "invalid compiler [YOUR ANSWER IS ALREADY THERE. SEARCH THE FORUMS!]" and see how many threads are locked, because people have not searched!

Ok so...I found a ton of people having the same problem and a ton of other people telling them to search...How do i fix it?

Most common cause is user has no compiler Installed.
Second the Code::Blocks Compiler configuration is wrong.
Third Compiler is not install correctly.

Then you did something wrong.
I just clicked on search in the "menu"-bar at the top, then inserted "invalid compiler [YOUR ANSWER IS ALREADY THERE. SEARCH THE FORUMS!]" in the text-box, clicked find and the first found topic gives you all information you need.

And if it's not the first, you might have to scroll through and look for something that helps.

It's the same, if you search on google or any other search-engine.

The answer you need might sometimes not be the first (even if it is in this case).

Look:
if all the people with the same problem would have searched before posting, the amount of locked topics flooding the search results would be much smaller.

The cause oBFusCATed seems to be so harsh is, that it's annoying to answer th esame questions over and over again.

Meanwhile it's hard to find the solution BECAUSE people do not search before posting. So oBFusCATed was 100% correct in his statement. Hence looking through all the posts you will realise that this is answered multiple times.

Look, what I don't get: If you go to a library with tons of information seeking for a specific information, you don't ask the librarien in the first place for information. You search yourself and use the search index provided by the library.

A forum ist just like that: A pool of information to help yourself in the first place. But if that attitude is not clear also error messages / warnings will not help.

You are right, and what I was missing, that you already changed the invalid compiler [YOUR ANSWER IS ALREADY THERE. SEARCH THE FORUMS!] message to be more descriptive (that does not help for people using the8.0-release).

But it seems as if the most users are too lazy to search or don't know how (or where) to search.

SEARCH THE FORUMS!]" on google, with no other search terms, will give the correct answer on THE VERY FIRST PAGE of results.  dont even have to search here.   can the mods stop answering this question and just flat out start silently deleting every post with this question?  maybe even delete some of the OLD ones so the few people who do search here will find the answer quicker.
