why can't i use codeblock?

i have installed nightly version(7.23)

can start codeblock, but just when i see the "today tip"( but nothing in the windows), cpu go up to 100%.
and the program dead.    i have reinstall many times, but just the same.

who can help me?

forget to say , my system is ubuntu 7.04

CB_20070723_rev4300_Ubuntu6.10+7.04_wx2.8.4.tar.gz  is my install file

Is the version of wxGTK on your system from before 2.8.4? If so, upgrade to 2.8.4.
