I just shut down my laptop as usual, pushing the power button, today when I tried to start codeblocks it is telling me only one instance is set up and that one codeblocks is already running, when its not.

some hidden pid file perhaps that needs to be deleted to get it back? where would that be? if it is something else then on how to fix it if someone knows. that'd be nice to know too.

thanks,

MOD:

system just needed a reboot.

This is pretty rude to your OS...

To help we would need your OS. A nice fresh restart can help...

oh forgot sorry,
Slackware Linux 14.2
it set up to hit the power button for a clean shut down.

I'll reboot to see if that helps,

Search the /tmp folder for codeblocks files...
