Will Code::Blocks run on SUSE Enterprise Linux Server 11?
« on: September 16, 2016, 03:02:24 pm »
So we're behind the times...yet looking for a new editor/IDE to use on Linux. We are stuck using the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 11 64-bit OS for the time being. I'd really love to try Code::Blocks. I've searched the forum, read the Wiki, etc. and couldn't find any info on *if* the current version could run on this OS, or if not, is there an older version in some archive somewhere that I could download that would run?

We also have a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 machine that I'm hoping will also run Code::Blocks since it is the latest from them...

Thanks,

What version of wxWidgets or wxGTK is supported on the OS?

The current CB requires wx 2.8.12 or wx 3.0.x to build.
(wx 2.9.x; might still work; but, has NOT been tested lately)

When in doubt, read the CB WiKi FAQ. http://wiki.codeblocks.org
