When save a .c file with C::B, any lines that have only have spaces or tabs get deleted (just the spaces and tabs on the line get deleted. not the line itself)
I have already checked www.google.com and searched the forums here and have come up empty handed. the wiki proved equally unhelpful.
is there any way to configure this? any help would be most appreciated.

I found the correct option for this actually. it is under Settings -> Editor... -> in the "End Of Line" section there is a box entitled "strip trailing blanks". All I had to do was un-check it.
what is sad is that I checked the editor settings twice!
I hope future people as blind as me will be helped by my lack of attention to detail.
