Is there an easy, step by step to set up the IDE? I have attempted to do that but after an hour, all I get when
I finally 'hit' the build project all I get is a blank screen. Or, I get a basic template C program that has
no code that I entered.

I am sure I don't know how to set up the environment, but I did not see an easy example on how to do this.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

ICCAVR has it's own IDE, it's not related to codeblocks. If u want to use codeblocks for AVR mcus try setting up for the AVRGCC. I'm sure u can find lots of tutorials on the net. And I think this topic should be on the embedded forum. ;)
