Unknown codeblocks message
« on: February 05, 2009, 06:00:19 am »
I'm getting this message when I type text in the "text to search" box and press enter:

"Failed to retrieve file path and line number"

The search seems to work thou, anyone know what this message may mean ?
System: IBM T43 Thinkpad, 1GB RAM, Debian Lenny (testing)

Hi,

this comes from the ThreadSearch plugin.
It means that it can't retrieve required information when you (double) click on a line result.
Are you sure the file has not been modified/is still present compared to the moment the search was run?
What is your OS ?
What is your C::B version
Can you send the file for which problem occurs ?

It's not the result of double click on the line in the search result window, it's the result of clicking of the Run Search icon (magnifying glass) or hitting the Enter key while in the entry field to the left of the icon, on the toolbar itself.

If I highlight the word and select "Find occurrences of:" from the context menu then I don't get the error message.

The file is saved, I have "Search Open Files" unchecked in the search options.

I would probably have to zip the whole project and send it to you as the text occurs in multiple files, although at this stage it isn't too big.

Version is SVN 5432
Running Debian Lenny Testing.
