I've just killed codeblocks for the fifth time right now. I don't know whether other people are getting the same troubles, but I think this nightly (2924) is simply unusable. (On SUSE Linux 10.1)

Let's start by the symbol browser which now is not redrawn correctly, but the horizontal scrollbar is about 2cm above the bottom border. (See the attached image)

Then I'm getting the program unusable (not crashes, but it doesn't allow to do anything) for example when I add some files to one project. (I think the parsing thread is blocking the entire application).
Same problem if I remove and re-add again the Manager Docking WIndow (which now contains also the Symbol Browser): the application doesn't answer anymore. This happens even other times, but then I can't say in which conditions.

Until about an hour ago I had the rev2914 working quite correctly. Never problems like these..

I'm wondering if someone else noticed the same bugs...

Bye

Quite possible. Didn't have time to test it under linux yet. If that's the case, please use an earlier revision.

Remove it. Probably some left-over which went un-noticed.

I did :) But it's better if killerbot will remove it, to save size of nightlies.

I'll check my tree this evening and prune it :-)

Personally I love what you have done to class browser. A new look is wonderful (especially all class components displayed in separate frame). There is one small tweak that I would like to suggest. Could you please move all classes at the bottom of the list? Right now it is mixed with “default” groups (see attachment). It’s not a big problem, but it would look a little bit better.  :)

Keep up excellent work. I love C::B even more right now. If I wouldn’t be married then I would definitely choose C::B for my bride.

Hi there,
I installed code::blocks RC2 to work with, but now I need the nightly build to build Ogre3D...so I unistalled code::blocks 1.0 rc2 from the system and I followed the instructions to have a nightly buiuld working.
result on win2k (office pc) it works fine but on winXP pro sp2 it crash:

"The application encountered a crash at address 2088988829"

I saw somebody else had the same problem on the forum but there was no answer to his post.

somedoby can help?
or maby health_kxy solved this problem, if it so please tell me how you did it!

thx for the impressive job
:)

Hello,

I have noticed a very small cosmetic bug (but a little bit confusing).

Here is the way to reproduce it.
- Create or open a project
- Open at least two files (or more)
- Clic on any tab in order to activate the file and have a look on the status bar (on the bottom left) => you can see its name (normal)

Now, switch between files by using Ctrl+Tab => The name of the file in the status bar does not change.

That's all.
I hope you could fix it.

Thanks and have a nice day.

ps: bug submitted on BerliOS.

Already in my TODO list. As a matter of fact, I mentioned it in another topic (http://forums.codeblocks.org/index.php?topic=3947.msg31118#msg31118) earlier today...

Hello,

Can you give some additional info such compiler used (MinGw?) and when the crash occurs (e.g., starting C::B, selecting an option)?

Also check if there is not an old dll that was not removed when you have uninstalled RC2.

All the best,
Michael

first of all thx for the shown interest :)

the compiler is mingw and the crash occurs in the very beginning of the application, IDE doesn't appear on the screan, only the tips one in the right bottom corner.

At home I tested on another PC on which winXP sp2 is installed and everything works fine...
so how may I understand if a DLL is missing? shouldn't be the error a DLL window allert more than a segmentation fault?

tnx again

No, not missing DLL. But an incompatible one somewhere in your path. Search your hard-drive for wxmsw*.dll (possibly under windows\system*).

no way...
I checked and only the one that I downloaded from the link of this forum is present...
Just to undestand...if it were a problem with an'incopatible DLL shouldn't the system give me a DLL entry point error instead of a fragmentation error?

No, because the function signatures might match but have a different ABI...
