Hi all,
I'm currently using code::blocks as my program for Computer Science at university level, we are required to use Code::blocks and with the new version of Mac OS (10.15-Catalina), code blocks will not be supported as the new software doesn't support 32-bit apps. Please can someone advise me on what to do in the mean time or could there be an updated version of code::blocks for Mac OS coming soon?

I have no idea about mac os and all the verions they are using, but have you looked in the nitghtly build thread? there should be a mac version of codeblocks

Hi,
yes, and there is only one version for mac, and now we can't use it.
Will there be an update?

What do you mean? There is a mac night build (see the subforum about night builds), I've not tried it but I doubt it is 32bit only...

I don't fully understand the concept of nightly build...I've only been using c++ and code blocks for a few months so I'm not sure how to use nightly builds or rather how to install them, could someone please explain? Also what would it take to create a new 64 bit version of code blocks for Mac?

You go to this post: http://forums.codeblocks.org/index.php/topic,23498.msg159995.html#msg159995 download the binary and install it.
For official support someone would need to spend time making C::B work good on macOS.

Thanks for your help I found the OSX version.
