Title: Installing on Mac Lion 10.7.5
Post by: Dalmango on April 19, 2017, 09:33:41 pm
Hi all be grateful of some assistance. I'm trying to install Command Line Tools ver Feb 2012 on my Macbook Pro Early 2011 (Tried several from the Download links) on X-Code 4.6. but haven't managed to get it to work.

It loads up 2 Terminal windows and I get 'No such file or directory' in one of the terminal windows.

Be grateful of guidance as I'm really struggling with this.

Sorry this is not a xcode or osx support site. You should try asking somewhere else.

Thanks, surely this is a CodeBlocks deficiency. Why does CodeBlocks even need another compiler.

With all operating systems being written in C why does it need a different compiler?

I'm trying to install CodeBlocks to learn C to get a better idea how the computer works.

Thanks

Please read the rules! http://forums.codeblocks.org/index.php/topic,9996.0.html

Are you trying to build Code::Blocks? If yes, you need a Compiler that can build Code::Blocks!

If no, then, I have no idea why you think you need to install a second compiler.

NOTE: Code::Blocks is an IDE/Editor it is NOT a Compiler!

You need a Compiler to compile C or C++ code!

Thanks Tim, sorry I'm not complying with the forum rules here so I'll have to go elsewhere.

Thanks
