Is there anyway of getting code::blocks to work in windows 8?

Don't worry. I've worked it out ;)

...so? Mind to explain your solution to other win8 users, too?

I was getting this error (not sure if this was cause I upgraded to Windows 8 or was a different problem)
"sample1 - Debug" uses an invalid compiler [YOUR ANSWER IS ALREADY THERE. SEARCH THE FORUMS!]. Probably the toolchain path within the compiler options is not setup correctly?!
I then solved this by going into the settings tab,
then into the Compiler and debugger tab,
then selected the <toolchain executable> tab,
and then changed to the compiler's installation directory to where i had installed code::blocks MinGW
Hope this helps

That has nothing to do with win8.
What I can tell: C::B runs fine in win8 without any tweaking, at least it has worked in the free prerelease (or how it was called).

I can't get code blocks to do a build in Windows 8. What can I do to get it to work?

Post more information.
C::B runs (as) flawlessly (as possible) on windows 8(.1).
