Title: CB doesn't start on OpenBSD/amd64 (except once).
Post by: daniel_s on May 15, 2008, 03:15:44 pm
Hello,
after fiddling with the 8.02 sources I compiled CB successfully on an OpenBSD/amd64 system. When I open a terminal and say "codeblocks &" I get an error message from libiconv (I guess): "$ 1: Error: Cannot convert from the charset '646'!". But maybe that's not the problem. I recall that initially CB started once and crashed soon in the middle of a project wizzard. Since then, every time I try to launch CB the splasher shows for half a second and then a message window pops up telling me that another instance of CB is already running etc. that I should adjust the settings to allow for multiple instances etc., but for obvious reasons that's not possible. Well, I browsed the forum for helpful hints and tried to delete things left over in /tmp but there is nothing written by CB. Also I can't find a .codeblocks file or directory in my home directory. Initially, there was a codeblocks.core (if I recall correctly) coredump in the home directory, which I deleted. Since then no more core dumps.
Thank you for any hints.
Daniel
