update to svn 6035 and get this build error.(work in prior svn)

any comment?thanks.see this threadhttp://forums.codeblocks.org/index.php/topic,11786.msg79959.html#msg79959 (http://forums.codeblocks.org/index.php/topic,11786.msg79959.html#msg79959)

<EDIT by Jens>
I just merged the topic with mine, because the problem is most likely the same (broken #ifdef's in squirrel.h and/or problems due to changes for 64-bit windows)

ThreadSearch can't show some buttons.

To find why. Because the share \ CodeBlocks \ images \ ThreadSearch under the picture is not update.bat copied to the output directory.

The button to see the status unclear, it is recommended to use gray icon represents is not enabled, while the colored icons on behalf of the opening.
Thanks!
Also, why the path does not support global variables? For example: $ (WX.include) or $ (WX)

That is done by ThreadSearchs own update.bat in the postbuild steps and seems to work here (linux and windows xp).

Yesterday I updated my system to kramic and had problem starting C::B

Code
version WXU_2.8.2 not defined in file libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0

I solved the problem by adding

Code
deb http://apt.wxwidgets.org/ lenny-wx main

to my sources.list and the I went to Synaptic and chose libwxbase2.8-0. Then select the menu Package->Force version and switch to lenny-wx version and apply the changes. After this C::B works again :D

Hi,
happy new year to all...

Just signaling a possible small typo problem.
I have seen in sqstdrex.cpp (in src/sdk/scripting/sqstdlib, in rev 6048, but probably in previous revisions too) at line 8 :
#ifdef _UINCODE

not sure but could it be :
#ifdef _UNICODE

??? I don't know.

Why the C++ Parser cannot sense the STL map?

See the pic.

BTW, why it don't parse the independent cpp file (not included in any workspaces) ?
Sometimes I wanna write some tiny programs without creating a project..

After all, thx for the build, happy new year!

Why the nightly build includes new Plugin' files?

Hi nanyu,

you sent a PM to me, where you asked the same question and I anwered to this PM two days ago:

Hi, Jens: can you help me ?

I have udpate the svn 6023 (windowx xp), but I can't found the CCCC and Cpp Checker Plugin?

How can I use them?

thanks! and sorry for my pool English.

Hi nanyu,

you should find them in the "Plugins" menu.

You also have to download the executables cccc and cppcheck for windows.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cccc/files/ (http://sourceforge.net/projects/cccc/files/)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cppcheck/files/ (http://sourceforge.net/projects/cppcheck/files/)

I think the executables should be in the system searchpath, so the plugins can find them, but I'm not absolutely sure about that ( I only used the plugins on linux).

Jens

In reply to your new PM and as hint for killerbot and other windows users:

It seems that cccc and cppcheck are missing from the nightlies.

I normally do not use nightlies on windows, only self-compiled C::B.
And there I have both plugins installed, so I wonder what went wrong.

Regarding CCCC, if you need a metrics tool then Source Monitor at http://www.campwoodsw.com/ is IMHO far superior. However it is not FOSS (it is free as in beer) and it is Windows only.

I really appreciate the continued development of CB.

It looks like there has not been a major stable release of CB since 8.02. It has been almost two years. I would like to suggest that it is time.

Also the road map on the twiki at http://wiki.codeblocks.org/index.php?title=Roadmap hasn't been updated in two years. Is there another publicly available road map?

Thanks,

The button to see the status unclear, it is recommended to use gray icon represents is not enabled, while the colored icons on behalf of the opening.
Thanks!
Disabled buttons are in fact greyed out.
What you mean (I think) is the difference between toggled (active option) and untoggled (inactive option) button.
On XP there is not much difference between the two states, on linux it's much better.
I will look into it.

Also, why the path does not support global variables? For example: $ (WX.include) or $ (WX)
Because it's not (yet) implemented.
I will see how easy this can be done.
Thanks for the suggestion.
SVN 6077, This version still does not work properly. From the search results view, ThreadSearch did not receive $ (WX) the correct path.

Try $(#wx) !

Having problems with this build on Ubuntu 9.10. I get a message:

"codeblocks: relocation error: /usr/lib/libcodeblocks.so.0: symbol _Z18wxSafeConvertWX2MBPKw, version WXU_2.8 not defined in file libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0 with link time reference"

which I gather from a previous post is wxWidgets-related. I have:

libwxbase2.8
wx-common
libwxgtk2.8-0

installed (+ a few dev versions). All are version 2.8.10.1-1 from apt.wxwidgets.org/universe

Can anybody tell me what's wrong? Have I got the wrong packages?

BTW: The CodeBlocks packages come from lgp203.free.fr/universe: codeblocks, codeblocks-common, codeblocks-contrib, codeblock-contrib-common and libwxsmithlib0, all versions svn6023-0ubuntu1-karmic.

pasgui's packages for karmic are build against the wxwidgets-packages shipped with ubuntu 9.10 (karmic koala), the ubuntu-packages and the packages from apt.wxwidgets.org are not fully comaptible.

Quote from: http://lgp203.free.fr/spip/spip.php?article1
The nightly builds will depend/based upon wxWidgets 2.8.10, which is not available in the default Ubuntu repositories except for Karmic Koala. To successfully install these packages, you have to add the wxWidgets repository except for Karmic Koala on i386 architecture where the universe repository must be enabled.

That means you have to use the packages shipped with ubuntu 9.10 if you use the codeblocks-packages for karmic.

Right! Got it. Works now.

(This package business has confused me. I have clearly misinterpreted the role of packages from wxWidgets).
