Thumbs up for all the 3 requests! I miss them a lot in C::B.
1. Especially for project properties
2. Configurable shortcut... I am used to the CTRL+F3 in VS - which anyway works even without any selected text, finds the word under the caret
3. Can't live without!

Did you try ThreadSearch plugin (bundled with setup) ?
There is no dialog, this is a multi threaded search so you can browse results during the search
There is a code preview to browse result.
Not exactly what you tell but something interesting !
