Hi,
It seems that when I single click on a line in the search results pane, C::B's behaviour is to (attempt) to open the file, when in fact all I want is to give the result pane input focus. Many of my source files are 100s of 1000s of lines long - and single clicking on the search result effectively causes C:B to hang.
Would it not make more sense if the file open behaviour was changed to a double click?
Just a thought. :)

Patch (http://ajonsson.kapsi.fi/search-results.patch)
It compiles, it's perfect.

I'll check this with the big boss and on approval will patch tomorrow ;-)

The build messages list also syncs with one mouse click and so does the Todo list. So I don't think it makes sense if just one of these reacts with double click and rest with one click.
I think they all should act the same way: either patch them all or leave them like they currently are.

Woot, woot be smooth if this got imped :), has been on my "mutter mutter anoying" list for a while now :P (although not anoying enough to consider posting about it :P).

If you will enable the "smooth message list scrolling" feature of DragScroll plugin, you can use the right or middle mouse key to dragscroll the message/search windows without activating them.
Then you need only left click on the line for which you wish the editor to activate.
This feature may, however, conflict with the right mouse copy/paste/selectAll for some of the message windows.
