Title: Changing compile/link setting marks file as read-only.
Post by: BentFX on November 17, 2011, 06:02:59 pm
Not sure I understand the why of this...

Go to Properties->Build tab for a source file.
Uncheck 'Compile file' or 'Link file' then put the check back.
Switch to the General tab.
The file has been set as read-only???

Does anyone else see this behavior, or is it something oddball that only affects my oddball installation?

Certainly not a show stopper. Just have to uncheck the read-only box. Yet it does seem odd.

Can you try to reproduce this bug with svn head version of trunk?

Just booted into Ubuntu for the first time in weeks. Got the latest nightly from Jens' repo. I see the same behavior in "svn build rev 7593 (2011-11-13 19:04:12) gcc 4.3.2 Linux/unicode - 64 bit" in Ubuntu.

That's as far as I'm going to chase it. It really isn't an issue for me, now that I know what it's doing. Even if I don't know why it's doing it. :)

I have seen this before too.

I'm also experiencing the same behaviour on Win 7. I thought it was intentional to this day.

I also confirm on Win 7.
