C::B on Haiku

As a big BeOS enthusiast I would love to see this editor on that platform. BeOS is no more ofcourse, but there has been activity around this OS, namely in the opensource project called Haiku. This post is not about promoting that OS, but more to ask what it would take to port this IDE to that OS? Is it simply for me to check out the code and compile? By default Haiku uses GCC which should make it pretty easy, but Im not sure about plugin formats etc. BeOS uses .so files I suppose. And would I break any license agreements if I did
?

C::B on linux also uses (of course) shared libraries (.so).
If a wxWidgets port and autotools (autoconf, automake) for Haiku exists, it should be possible to port it.
C::B is licensed under
GPL v3
, so there should not be a licensing problem.
