Slow response in the Editor - CB takes up 60% CPU Power
« on: August 24, 2008, 11:03:30 am »
I've been using CB in Windows for a few months without any problems. It's rock solid. However, I'm now using Ubuntu and CB doesn't seem to like that I made the switch. :?

Whenever I select any text (just two lines of code e.g.), CB takes up around 60% CPU or more, and another process (Xorg) takes up the rest of the CPU power making CB really slow. It's not just selecting text either, when I write code I type faster than it gets in the editor making a lot of errors show up due to the confusion. It's just in CB that I have this problem. I can without any problems select/type text in any other application.

I'm running the latest svn build of CB and I use Ubuntu Hardy Heron. I tried disabling every plugin there is for CB and also disabling a lot of options in the editor. It didn't make any difference though, the problem still persists. Oh, and I also tried reinstalling CB (twice!).

Help, please? :(

Did you build C::B yourself?
