Help making C::B portable
« on: June 12, 2008, 08:18:54 am »

I'm trying to get C::B portable for hours but I don't get it. I copy the default.conf and the two ini files into the Base-Directory of C::B but it don't seem to work.

When running C::B from the directory i've installed (first called) C::B all works fine. Now I copy the whole directory to a new location and start the codeblocks.exe.
At the starting screen it says "The default start page seems to be missing" and all the plugins are missing too. And I can't compile, ...
My settings etc. are loaded from the default.conf in the C::B directory as supposed.

When I copy C::B back to the old dir all works fine again.

But I need a portable version (want to run it from USB-stick).

Any idea?

Hope you understand what I mean, my english is ... uhh

Ok I think I have it^^

The reason why it didn't run was a "#" in the directory name.

After removing that all is fine.

Perhaps a bug?
