Windows No Disk?
« on: March 29, 2008, 07:26:45 pm »
Hi I've just installed a binary release of C::B with MinGW and when I run it I get an error message that doesn't go away unless I use the task manager to kill the process.

I'm using a Sony Vaio VGN FE780G with Windows XP.

The program starts fine, then after I start a new project (Console App) and go through the setup I get:

---------------------------
Windows - No Disk
---------------------------
Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c
---------------------------
Cancel   Try Again   Continue   ---------------------------

Any idea what may cause this? (If you need more info let me know)

Oh and hello everyone! :)

If anyone else is having this problem as well, please let me know as well because I hope I'm not alone.

Didn't seem to do much for me. I do have cygwin installed separately so I removed the bin folder from my PATH but still same error. =\

Vista home, codeblocks 8.02, sony vaio FZ

I have exact same problem. Only my hex numbers are slightly different. Once I open a project that dialog comes up and keeps coming back. I push Cancel, Try Again, Continue.. just keeps coming back. Sometimes I get it to go away. Then do a build and it comes back.

But it was working just fine until today. I did some windows updates today. Maybe that caused trouble.

I just cleared my 'recent items' list, and now the popup is gone. Problem solved..?

There was a file in the list that had been on a memory card I removed. Maybe this was the problem, but why was codeblocks triggering it? Windows weirdness I guess.

Have you ever googled for "Windows - No Disk" (http://www.google.com/search?q=Windows+-+No+Disk).
You get more then 9 million entries including some solutions that might work.

Happened again. I was working with files on a memory card. Then open a project with code blocks. "Windows - No Disk" dialog over and over. Try to build. Still more dialog.

I cleared recent items list and rebooted. Now its working again.

p.s. windows xp does have a recent documents list. try clearing it. right click start button i think.

SOLUTION FOR VAIO!
« Reply #10 on: May 23, 2008, 08:12:30 am »
Hi guys, im from Mexico and have a vaio cr360F with windows vista and had the same problem. By trying a lot of things i found one solution that works fine.
I think it may only work for vaio computers because they use memory stick.

Please follow these steps

1. Go to my computer
2. Right click on memory stick>properties
3. In the tab driver or controller (sorry i have vista in spanish) click on disable

4. Be happy cause codeblocks now works perfectly!!

See u! and  i hope your comments
