Split editor horizontally?
« on: April 10, 2006, 08:05:18 am »
Dear all,
a collegue of mine (using C::B) did somehow manage to split the editor window horizontally to have 2 files under each other. He did this by "mistake" using a shortcut he unfortunatley cannot remember. So I'm asking here if there's anybody out there that is aware of that feature and knows the shortcut...?!
With regards, Morten.

There is no such feature that I know of. There has been a bug in wxFlatNotebook a while ago, however, which could produce such a bug. That one was fixed long ago, though.

Out of curiosity, and to be 100% there is no hidden feature I don't know about, I just tried all keys with Control, Control-Shift, Control-Alt, and Control-Shift-Alt to no special effect.

Me not either. But he definetely managed to do so, using the current build of C::B (round about rev. 2327 - I provided to him). It's really weird, but I agree personally that it seems to be more a bug than a feature. Anyway: He was able to work with that layout...?!
With regards, Morten.
Edit: Now I know why he "insists" of getting this feature to work again: He is used to XEmacs... Again and again: in my opinion XEmacs users getting used to to very strange habbits. Meanwhile I believe XEmacs is rubbish.
