How to get the compiler in right place
« on: February 01, 2017, 01:12:19 pm »
My first post and just downloaded Code::Blocks onto W10 PC.
Previously tried using Visual Studio 2015 so may have some complier conflicts here.
Set up CB and tried to Execute & Run "Hello" and hit a problem straight away with the complier but not sure what to do exactly

Have attached screen shot and below is error a
"PHW_CB_01B - Debug": The compiler's setup (GNU GCC Compiler) is invalid, so Code::Blocks cannot find/run the compiler.
Probably the toolchain path within the compiler options is not setup correctly?! (Do you have a compiler installed?)
Goto "Settings->Compiler...->Global compiler settings->GNU GCC Compiler->Toolchain executables" and fix the compiler's setup.
Skipping...
Nothing to be done (all items are up-to-date).

Any help to get going appreciated

Re-installed CB in case I missed some option.  Didn't see any option for compilers but did get following message:-

ENVIRONMENT ERROR
Can't find computer executable in your configured search path's for GNU GCC Compiler

Trying to find GNN GCC compiler now .
