Debian Jessie with KDE libgamin0 Conflicts:libfam0
« on: August 18, 2016, 05:54:19 pm »
I have Debian Jessie with KDE desktop and am unable to install CB because of a conflict between libfam0 (installed) and libgamin0. Trying to remove libfam0 has so many dependencies it would probably break the system. I have searched for this conflict but either find Bug reports or comments that libgamin0 is a replacement. For instance http://linux.debian.bugs.dist.narkive.com/3rbBtcKi/bug-336351-libfam0-should-provides-libgamin0-etc

Any help in how to get past this road block would be appreciated. Codeblocks installs just fine on kubuntu 14.04 virtual machine so I will work from there for now.

Not sure what I did, but after a reboot I was able to install via Jens' un-official debian repository. http://apt.jenslody.de/
