Installing C::B on Windows8
« on: October 03, 2015, 07:06:12 am »
Hi
I really need some help...From two months I am trying to install on my new laptop Acer Aspire (W8) code::blocks and every single time installatin worked, but when I run C::B the first thing: In the right corner shows a message "Can't find Compiler executable in your search path for Copy of GNU GCC Compiler" and I tried to go on, to make a program despite this but when I press Build and Run it tell me that the program was not build and if I want to build it now, and if I press yes it doesn't happen nothing, but if I press no it terminate the program with the same number idk 1057830. Please help me if you know because I have no idea what to do :( I asked a lot of people but nobody helped me.

Do you have compiler installed?
Have you verified that the settings for the compiler are correct?
Check Settings -> Compiler -> your compiler -> Toolchain executables.
There is an autodetect button, you can try to press it.
