Ubuntu bug 662077
« on: March 13, 2014, 06:48:51 pm »
OS: Ubuntu 13.10
IDE: Code::Blocks 12.11 with wxSmith

I am starting to learn GUI programming with the environment noted above but have encountered what is known as "Ubuntu bug 662077." This means that the initial window (and maybe all wx apps) built with wxSmith under recent versions of Ubuntu do not show the main menu bar. I have not found effective advice in the OS forums. Can anyone here help?

Likely not; but, who knows.

Link to what I guess is the bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wxwidgets2.8/+bug/662077

Not here, we're C::B support forum, not wxWidgets or Ubuntu support forum. Please ask them.
wxWidgets people have done tons amount of work to fix the ubuntu brokenness!
(most of the time I ignore long posts)
