File menu lift-up required?
« on: January 05, 2006, 10:28:42 am »
Dear all,
I wonder whether the file menu could need a litte lift-up. I see that there are some new menu entries and some old ones seem to be in an irritating order by now. Here is my suggestion how to change the appropriate part of the menu (left is old, right is new):
Save as...|Save as...
Save all files|Save all files
---------|---------
Save project|Close
Save project as...|Close all
---------|--------
Save workspace|Save project
Save workspace as...|Save project as...
Close workspace|Close project
---------|---------
Close|Save workspace
Close all|Save workspace as...
Close project|Close workspace
---------|---------
Any suggestions? Agreement? Disagreement?
Morten.

Personally, I am more for the old style. Anyway, I would move "Close workspace" after "Close project". I like to have all the close together. I find it easier to close what I want without having to search through all the menu. But this is just me :D.

Anyway, if the majority would like to change it, then it would be ok for me.

May be the "easiest" solution to make everyone happy would be some kind of customizable menu(s).

I believe by now we should stop the discussion after reading this:

...because that's even better (as usual if the C::B team develops new features... :P).
