artifacts on Ubuntu
« on: November 17, 2011, 10:29:34 pm »
Hi,

I'm running Code::Blocks on Mint Linux (Ubuntu, basically) and whenever I scroll down in the main text window, strange gray artifacts come up on the screen and cover up the code. Also, some of the dialogs are unresponsive. Is this a problem with WxWidgets? Does anyone know a way for me to solve this issue?

Here's a screenshot (not sure if this will work)

Thanks!

Nope, the screenshot didn't work. Guess I don't know how to use it.

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't see a clear resolution on that one, though. Nonetheless, it seems to be working now. I think it is because I reloaded compiz. If anyone else has this problem, try switching to metacity and then back to compiz.

I've used Ubuntu 11.11 for about 10 days and after the forth or fifth day I've disabled compiz because it was too buggy.
It was crashing at least once a day.

The resolutions was: update ubuntu through the software center...

update ubuntu through the software center

Yes, but I had just installed the system and it was up to date.

And that was only one resolution. Different people came to different conclusions. So that was not the answer for me.
