Viewing the Property Grid
« on: June 02, 2011, 05:25:33 pm »
Using C::B 10.05 on Ubuntu 11.04

The Property Grid panel (displays a widget's attributes, such as name, ID, size, etc) has disappeared when I run codeblocks and load any previous project.  How can I bring it back?  There does not appear to be anything on the View menu that would affect its visibility.  Removing ~/.codeblocks/* then reinstalling codeblocks and codeblocks-contrib does not resolve the problem.

Ideas?

Do you have the wxsmith plugin installed and enabled?

Not sure if this is related, but...Creating a new project results in a wxSmith error.

New-->Project-->WxWidgets project -->Go -->wxWidgets 2.8.x -->Next -->Project Title = wx_frameApp -->Next -->Author-->Next
Preferred GUI builder = wxSmith, Application Type = Frame Based -->Next -->Compiler=GNU GCC +Create Debug +Create Release -->Next
+Use Advanced Settings +Use Unicode Build of wxWidgets +Create Empty Project -->Finish.

Dialog box pops up: "Couldn't parse newly created Wxs file.  wxSmith support is disabled."  See attached image file.

Project file was borked in some way (mis-configured) so restoring from saved archive brought back the Property Grid.
Always good idea to have a backup.
