In the last month, 4 Newbies have asked me for help using Personal Messaging (PM).
I consider this a violation of the un-written rules of how forums are supposed to work.

Is it just an spammer(s)?
Or, a bunch of people who do not know the basic rules?
Or, has the rules changed in how the internet forums work?

I get 1 or two of such pm's in the last minths, I sometime get mails to the mail address I use for my repo and for signing my packages abd the most are related to debian-specific things.

If you send the usernames via pm to me, I can see whether there is anything suspicious (used ip-range and other informations hidden to the normal users).

Dunno, I hit the ban button on anyone who PMs me, so... happens rarely :P

I used the ban button on the one who thought I was was the ONE that was NOT being polite to him.
