In svn r7054 I committed some changes that set the focus on the tab-control that belongs to the active tab of the editor-, the management- and the log-pane if the appropriate menu-functions are called.

BTW, Jens can you look at this patch which does some menu focusing -> http://developer.berlios.de/patch/?func=detailpatch&patch_id=3067&group_id=5358

I'm using it for some time and it is priceless for replacing the normal 'find in files' menu item...
