mingw32-g ++.exe - No disk

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk1\DR1.

Above is the error that happens. i am completely new to using c++ and using this compiler. i have read forums and people have been saying check what version of MinGW you have. How do you do that? and also there has been a solution to solve this error by downloading the newest patch of MinGW. i have been on the MinGW website and cannot find the newest version and if i did how would i go about installing it? is it a normal installation where you click install and it does it for you or.....

(solution)
