From gnome to xfce -> bugs dissapeared
« on: February 01, 2009, 11:07:47 pm »
I've used Code::Blocks (nightlies from jens repository) on Ubuntu 8.04.1 (64 bits, gnome) over wxWidgets 2.8.9 (from wxWidgets repository) for a long time and I've noticed some bugs (c::b closed when I move tabs, close an project, etc.) that have been reported in some threads over the forum.

Some days ago, I've installed xfce desktop environment on my system (without any other change) and, when I run codeblocks on xfce it runs fine. No more unexpected closes, no more extrange bugs. But only in xfce, if I switch to gnome, the bugs come back.

I don't know what's the reason for this, but it is pretty good for the codeblocks experience, so I want to share it for other codeblocks users with similar problems.
